NASA considering Single-Stage lunar lander design for Constellation's Altair

Rob Coppinger, at his excellent Flight Global blog Hyperbola, features a Podcast interview with Wendell Mendell, a lunar scientist who has worked for NASA for 45 years.

Coppinger spoke with Mendell on Saturday at Astrofest 2009 in London.

"Listen to him talk about the work done to evaluate lunar surface needs and NASA's interest in the possibilty of reusable lunar landers that have descent stages that return to space," Coppinger recommends.
